 RECREATIONAL SCHEDULE

The recreational session consists of 30 one-hour classes running from September to June, with a break in the middle for the holiday season. The fall session focuses on skills development to qualify for badges: the winter session focuses on developing skills that are in a routine, which is performed at Gymnaestrada in the spring. The spring session consolidates and develops skills to qualify for badges. We are also offering a 2 hour class for gymnasts who want more involvement and who have completed badge level 2.

Please check the Age and Level columns in the recreational class schedule before you submit a registration request. Choose the level that the gymnast will be working on. For example, if the gymnast has completed Level 1, choose Level 2. If no level is indicated this class is open to all levels of ability, please check that you choose the right age level as your daughter will be more comfortable training with other girls of a similar age.

While we strive to accommodate all requests, we fill classes on a first-come, first-served basis. If you don't see a class offered for your daughter's age and level, you may want to contact the registrar, Yun Wu, at 613-270-9852 as new class times can open up depending on demand.

The Kanata Rhythmic Sportive Gymnastics Club reserves the right to combine or cancel classes depending on registration numbers. Some classes may be re-scheduled due to additional cancellations. Reasonable attempts will be made to accommodate any gymnasts affected by a KRSG-initiated schedule change, and if not possible, a full refund will be made.

Each gymnast needs a red, long-sleeved, lycra or cotton body suit (with scooped neck). No footwear or legwear is required. You can buy body suits at the following locations:
  • Malabar Limited, 1610 Merivale Road, Nepean (225-8374)
  • Brio DanceXpress, 380 Richmond Road, Nepean (721-1585)
Gymnasts should wear their hair in a bun or pony tail and should not wear jewelry during classes.
