NATIONAL RG GROUP STRUCTURE (DUOS/TRIOS/4s/5s) The Rhythmic competitive season is from January 1st to December 31st. The age of the gymnast is determined by their age as of December 31st of the competition year. National RG Group Program  Pre-Novice --  Age 9-10 -- Ball  Novice --  Age 10-12 -- Rope  Junior --  Age 13-15 -- Duo/Trio - Ribbons 4/5 - 1 Routine of Hoops and 1 Routine of Ribbons  Senior --  Age 16 and up --  Duo - 2 Hoops  Trio - 2 Ribbons & 1 Rope  Group of 4 - 2 Ribbons & 2 Ropes  Group of 5 - 5 Hoops or 3 Ribbons & 2 Ropes
