Kanata Gymnasts Successful in Montreal

Gymnasts form the Kanata Rhythmic Sportive Gymnastics Club attended the Rythmik Quebec Invitational Cup in Montreal on January 11 and 12. The meet included gymnasts from Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba and British Columbia. Kanata's rhythmic gymnasts showed that they are ready for the coming competitive season, with 27 total medals and ribbons.

In Level 3A,	Marie won SILVER overall after winning SILVER in Free and GOLD in Hoop.
In Level 4A,	Sarah won SILVER overall after winning GOLD in Free and BRONZE in Ball.
	Christine won BRONZE overall after winning SILVER in Ball and 4th in Free.
	Jenna came in 4th overall after winning SILVER in Free and 4th in Ball.
In Level 4B,	Megan won SILVER overall after winning BRONZE in Free, GOLD in Ball and winning BRONZE in Rope.
	Lucinda came 4th overall after winning a BRONZE in Ball and finishing 5th in Free and 7th in Rope.
	Myranda came 5th overall after finishing 4th in Ball, 6th in Free and 6th in Rope.
In Level 5A,	Lauren won SILVER overall after winning SILVER in Free, SILVER in Rope and SILVER in Ribbon.
In Level 5C,	Brianna came 6th overall after finishing 4th in Clubs, 6th in Hoop and 6th in Rope.
In Level 6A,	Emily won GOLD overall after winning GOLD in Hoop, GOLD in Rope and GOLD in Ribbon.
In Level 6B,	Breanna won GOLD overall after winning GOLD Hoop, GOLD in Rope and GOLD in Clubs.
In the Provincial Group level competition the Novice Duo/Trio of Myranda Bingham and Megan Kawai won GOLD.

The next competition will be the Kanata Cup at Bridlewood School on February 16 and 17. The Kanata Cup will be the first individual competition for 7 more Kanata gymnasts, who will be competing this year at the Provincial level, as well as the first competition for the club's interclub gymnasts. New this year, the Kanata Cup will include 3 Provincial group performances by Kanata teams, as well as Interclub groups, as KRSG prepares to host the Red Ribbon Championship for Aesthetic Group Gymnastics in June.
