Provincial Champions in the Novice Duo

wow the audience with their exciting new hoop routine, to music from rapper
Eminem appropriate, as Myranda and Megan have nicknamed their duo M&M.
Their new routine for the junior level, which they enter this year, features
fast-paced and crowd-pleasing throws, somersaults though the hoop, jumps and
tricky partner work. The grade 7 students will compete in the duo event at
the First Qualifying Meet on the evening of Friday, March 20 at Holy Trinity
Catholic High school in Kanata.
Competition will continue throughout the weekend, with fans able to drop by
Holy Trinity and see the best Provincial rhythmic gymnasts in Ontario from
8am Saturday until 7pm, and from 8:30 am Sunday until 3pm. 160 gymnasts from
all over Ontario will attend the event, one of the most important of the
year, as gymnasts vie to qualify for the Ontario Championships to be held in
June in Toronto.
