KRSG gymnasts recently competed in 2 Provincial Qualifying competitions. These competitions are for a berth into the
Ontario Championships. Provincial Individual gymnast must compete in both Provincial Qualifiers and based on the combined results must place in the top 60% to be eligible for the
the Ontario Championships. Athletes who compete in only one Qualifier and athletes who do not place in the top 60% will not be eligible to compete in the
Ontario Championships but will be eligible to compete in RhythmFest. In the case of a level with seven or less all athletes will proceed to
the Ontario Championships.
KRSG’s provincial rhythmic competitive team gave energetic, graceful and dynamic performances in both Qualifiers held
March 21-22, 2009 and May 2-3, 2009. The first Qualifier, hosted by our own
Kanata RSG Club, saw our gymnast perform well and return home with numerous medals and 4th - 8th place ribbons to show for their efforts. (27 medals -
9 Gold, 9 Silver and 9 Bronze. 24 Ribbons, 6 Fourth place, 4 Fifth place, 6
Sixth place, 3 Seventh place and
5 Eighth place).
The second Qualifier, hosted by Cambridge Kips, saw KRSG gymnast perform well again in a very tough competition and return home with several medals and 4th - 8th place ribbons to show for their hard work and efforts. (29
medals - 4 Gold, 20 Silver and 3 Bronze and 23 Ribbons - 5 Fourth place, 3 Fifth place,
6 Sixth place, 5 Seventh place and 4 Eighth place).
This year 16 of KRSG’s 21 Provincial Individual gymnast and 3 AGG group
gymnast advanced to the Ontario Championships which will be held on June
6-7, 2009 hosted by York Stars RG Club and Silhouettes of York RG Club. While 5 will attend Rhythmfest on June
7, 2009 also hosted by the same 2 clubs.
Erika (Level 1B) ranked 9th in the 1st qualifier and 8th in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
Rhythmfest and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in 8th place overall.
Brianna L. (Level 2A) ranked 4th in the 1st qualifier and 6th in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
the Ontario Championships and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in
4th place overall.
Caroline (Level 2A) ranked 3rd in the 1st qualifier and 2nd in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
the Ontario Championships and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in
2nd place overall.
Baylianne (Level 2B) ranked 2nd in the 1st qualifier and 2nd in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
the Ontario Championships and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in
2nd place overall.
Julia (Level 3A) ranked 12th in the 1st qualifier and 9th in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for Rhythmfest and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in 11th place overall.
Donya (Level
4A) ranked 12th in the 1st qualifier and did not compete in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for Rhythmfest and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in
22nd place overall.
Polina (Level 4A) ranked 9th in the 1st qualifier and 6th in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
the Ontario Championships and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in 6th place overall.
Sarah M. (Level 4A) ranked 7th in the 1st qualifier and 3rd in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
the Ontario Championships and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in 4th place overall.
Marie (Level
4B) ranked 4th in the 1st qualifier and 2nd in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
the Ontario Championships and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in 2nd place overall.
Sarah S. (Level 4B) ranked 6th in the 1st qualifier and 6th in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
the Ontario Championships and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in 6th place overall.
Danica (Level 5A) ranked 13th in the 1st qualifier and 1st in the
16th qualifier. She qualified for Rhythmfest and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in
14th place overall.
Elizabeth (Level 5A) ranked 14th in the 1st qualifier and 8th in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
the Ontario Championships and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in
9th place overall.
Jenna (Level
5A) ranked 17th in the 1st qualifier and 15th in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
the Ontario Championships and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in 16th place overall.
Laura (Level 5A) ranked 11th in the 1st qualifier and 11th in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
Rhythmfest and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in 11th place overall.
Lauren (Level 5A) ranked 9th in the 1st qualifier and 13th in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
the Ontario Championships and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in 12th place overall.
Lucinda (Level 5B) ranked 3rd in the 1st qualifier and 4th in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
the Ontario Championships and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in 3rd place overall.
Megan (Level 5B) ranked 7th in the 1st qualifier and 3rd in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
the Ontario Championships and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in
4th place overall.
Myranda (Level 5B) ranked 8th in the 1st qualifier and 10th in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
the Ontario Championships and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in
9th place overall.
Marissa (Level 6A) ranked 1st in the 1st qualifier and 2nd in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
the Ontario Championships and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in
1st place overall.
Brianna (Level 6B) ranked 1st in the 1st qualifier and 9th in the 2nd
qualifier. She qualified for the Ontario Championships and her combined
qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in 2nd place overall.
Breanna (Level 6C) ranked 1st in the 1st qualifier and 1st in the 2nd qualifier. She qualified for
the Ontario Championships and her combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified her in 1st place overall.
KRSG's 3 Provincial RG Groups and 1 AGG Groups advanced to the Ontario
Championships as well.
The
Pre-Novice Trio, Brianna, Caroline and Erika, ranked 1st in the 1st qualifier and
1st in the 2nd qualifier. They qualified for the Ontario Championships and their
combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified them in 1st place overall.
The Junior Duo, Myranda and Megan, ranked 1st in the 1st qualifier and
1st in the 2nd qualifier. They qualified for the Ontario Championships and their combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified them in 1st place overall.
The
Junior Trio, Danica, Laura and Lucinda, ranked 2nd in the 1st qualifier and 2nd in the 2nd qualifier. They qualified for
the Ontario Championships and their combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified them in 2nd place overall.
The Novice AGG Group ranked 1st in the 1st qualifier and 2nd in the 2nd qualifier. They qualified for
the Ontario Championships
and their combined qualifier 1 and 2 totals qualified them in 1st place overall.
