Four rhythmic gymnasts from the Kanata Rhythmic Gymnastics Club won gold medals and a Provincial Championship trophy at the 2008 Rhythmic Gymnastics Provincial Championships held in Markham, June 7-8. Breanna R. and Emily K. won the gold medal for their Senior duo routine with the rope, repeating their previous Provincial duo championship of 3 years ago. Emily then followed up with a win overall in the 6A category, winning gold in ribbon and hoop and silver in rope along the way. Breanna also won her second Provincial title of the year, as she took the overall gold in the 6B category, winning gold in hoop and choice (rope), and silver in clubs. Megan K. and Myranda B. won the Provincial Championship
title for their Novice duo ball routine, with a gold medal score of 9.70.

Rhythmic Gymnastics Club at Father Michael McGivney Catholic Academy High School in Markham. Audiences were treated to beautifully choreographed routines which included free and routines using apparatus such as ropes, hoops, clubs, balls and ribbon.
KRSG’s, 19 gymnast, provincial rhythmic competitive team gave outstanding performances at both Provincials and RhythmFest. KRSG gymnast returned home with 4 overall Provincial Champion titles plus numerous medals and 4th - 8th place ribbons to show for their efforts. (37 medals - 14 Gold, 18 Silver and 5 Bronze plus 22 Ribbons - 9 Fourth place, 5 Fifth place, 4 Sixth place, 1 Seventh place and 3 Eighth place).
Kanata Novice Duo (Megan and Myranda) competed at the Provincial Championships and won the GOLD medal for their overall performance finished. They also won the title of Provincial Champions for their level. Congratulations Megan and Myranda!

Breanna (Level 6-B) competed at the Provincial Championships and won a SILVER medal in her Clubs Routine, GOLD in her Hoop and Choice (Rope) routines and won the GOLD medal for her overall performance. She also won the title of Provincial Champion for her level. Congratulations Breanna!
Emily (Level 6-A) competed at the Provincial Championships and won a GOLD medal with her Ribbon and Hoop Routines and a SILVER medal with her Rope routine and won the GOLD medal for her overall performance. She also won the title of Provincial Champion for her level. Congratulations Emily!
Caitlin (Level 6-A) competed at the Provincial Championships and GOLD in her Rope Routine, SILVER with her Ribbon and Hoop routines and won SILVER for her overall performance.
Brianna (Level 5-C) competed at the RhythmFest and won a GOLD medal in her Choice (Hoop), Clubs and Rope routines and won the GOLD for her overall performance.
Lauren (Level 5-A) competed at RhythmFest and finished 4th in Free, Rope and Ribbon routines and finished 4th for her overall performance.
Lucinda (Level 4-B) competed at the RhythmFest and won a SILVER medal for her Free, Ball and Rope routines and won the SILVER for her overall performance.
Megan (Level 4-B) competed at the Provincial Championships and won a SILVER medal with her Ball Routine, finished 8th with her Free routine and 10th with her Rope routine and finished 6th for her overall performance.
Myranda (Level 4-B) competed at the Provincial Championships and finished 9th with her Ball routine, 16th with her Free routine and 15th with her Rope routine and finished in 15th for her overall performance.
Christine (Level 4-A) competed at RhythmFest and finished 6th in her Free routine, won a SILVER medal with her Ball routine and finished in 4th for her overall performance.
Elise (Level 4-A) competed at Provincial Championships and finished 8th in Free routine, 8th in her Ball routine and finished in 7th for her overall performance.
Jenna (Level 4-A) competed at Provincial Championships and finished 12th in Free routine, 10th in her Ball routine and finished in 13th for her overall performance.
Sarah S (Level 4-A) competed at the Provincial Championships and finished 5th in her Free routine, 6th in her Ball routine and finished in 6th for her overall performance.
Donya (Level 3-A) competed at the RhythmFest and won a SILVER medal with her Free routine and finished 4th in her Hoop routine and won a SILVER medal for her overall performance.
Marie (Level 3-A) competed at the Provincial Championships and won a BRONZE medal with her Free routine, a SILVER medal with her Hoop routine and a SILVER medal for her overall performance.
Sarah M (Level 3-A) competed at the Provincial Championships and finished 5th in Free routine, 5th in her Hoop routine and finished in 5th for her overall performance.
Julia (Level 2-A) competed at the RhythmFest and finished 5th in Free Routine, won a BRONZE medal with her Rope routine and won the BRONZE for her overall performance.
Melinda (Level 2-A) competed at the RhythmFest and won a BRONZE medal in her Free Routine, finished 4th in her Rope routine and finished in 4th for her overall performance.
Baylianne (Level 1-B) competed at the Provincial Championships and finished 4th in her Free routine, won a GOLD medal with her Rope routine and won a SILVER medal for her overall performance.
The Child AGG Group (Baylianne, Donya, Julia, Marie, Melinda and Sarah M) won the BRONZE medal their overall performance.
The Pre-Novice AGG Group (Christine, Jenna, Megan, Myranda, Sarah S and Zoë) won the SILVER medal their overall performance.
