The 2005 Rhythmic Gymnastics Provincial Championships and RhythmFest, hosted by Olympium Rhythmic Gymnastics Club at Etobicoke Olympium – Main Gym in Etobicoke on May 13-15, featured some of the best in the sport from clubs across Ontario. Audiences were treated to beautifully choreographed routines which included free and routines using apparatus such as ropes, hoops, clubs, balls and ribbon.
KRSG’s, 7 gymnast, provincial rhythmic competitive team gave outstanding performances at both Provincials and RhythmFest. KRSG gymnast returned home with 2 overall Provincial Champion titles plus numerous medals and 4th - 8th place ribbons to show for their efforts. (16 medals - 8 Gold, 4 Silver and 4 Bronze plus 4 Ribbons - 1 Fourth place, 1 Fifth place, 1 Seventh place and 1 Eighth place).
Kanata Junior Duo (Breanna and Emily) competed at the Provincial Championships and won the GOLD medal for their overall performance finished. They also won the title of Provincial Champions for their level. Congratulations Breanna and Emily!
Jennifer (Level 6-A) competed at RhythmFest and won a GOLD medal with her Ribbon Routine, GOLD in her Free, GOLD in her Hoop and won the GOLD medal for her overall performance. Breanna (Level 5-B) competed at the Provincial Championships and won a SILVER medal in her Rope Routine, GOLD in her Ball, finished 5th in her Ribbon and won the GOLD medal for her overall performance. She also won the title of Provincial Champion for her level. Congratulations Breanna! Emily (Level 5-A) competed at the Provincial Championships and won a SILVER medal in her Rope Routine, BRONZE in Ribbon, BRONZE in Free and won the BRONZE medal for her overall performance. Caitlin (Level 5-A) competed at the Provincial Championships and finished 9th in her Rope Routine, 11th in Ribbon, 8th in Free and finished in 10th for her overall performance. Lauren (Level 4-A) competed at RhythmFest and won a SILVER medal in Free Routine, a SILVER medal in Ball and won the BRONZE medal for her overall performance. Megan (Level 2-A) competed at the Provincial Championships and finished 10th in her Rope Routine, 4th in Free and finished 7th for her overall performance. Myranda (Level 2-A) competed at the Provincial Championships and finished 14th in her Rope Routine, 14th in Free and finished in 14th for her overall performance.
