KANATA GYMNASTS VERY SUCCESSFUL AT OLYMPIUM INVITATIONAL!

Gymnasts from the Kanata Rhythmic Sportive Gymnastics Club were strong competitors in the annual Olympium Rhythmic Gymnastic Club Invitational competition, held January 13-15, 2006 in the Toronto area.

The event, which took place at the Etobicoke Olympium Main Gym, featured a very strong field of provincial and national level gymnasts from Ontario and Quebec. This was the first major competition of the year for the Kanata gymnasts.

KRSG sent seven gymnasts, who all gave strong performances at the competition, winning seven gold, twelve silver and four bronze, for a total of twenty-three medals, including every gymnast returning with a medal.

In Level 3-A, Meagan, won GOLD overall after winning GOLD in her Free Routine and BRONZE in her Hoop Routine.

Also in Level 3-A, Myranda, won SILVER overall after winning SILVER in her Free Routine and GOLD in her Hoop Routine.

In Level 4-A, Lauren, won SILVER overall after finishing SECOND in her Free Routine and SECOND in her Ball Routine.

In Level 5-A, Emily, won SILVER overall after winning SILVER in her Free Routine, SILVER in her Rope Routine and SILVER in her Ribbon Routine.

Also in Level 5-A, Caitlin, took FOURTH overall after winning BRONZE in her Rope Routine, BRONZE in her Ribbon Routine and finishing FOURTH in her Free Routine.

In Level 5-B, Breanna, won SILVER overall after winning SILVER in her Ball Routine, BRONZE in her Ribbon Routine and SILVER in her Rope Routine.

In Level 6-A, Jennifer, won GOLD overall after finishing FIRST in her Free Routine FIRST in her Ribbon Routine and FIRST in her Rope Routine.
