The Kanata Rhythmic Sportive Gymnastics Club has hosted the Ontario Provincial Championships in 1991, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 2000 and the Red Ribbon Aesthetic Group Competition in 2001, 2002 and 2008.

2007-2008 Season

Our 19 Provincial individual, RG group and AGG gymnast brought home a total of 153 medals (72 gold, 57 silver and 24 bronze) from competitions in Ontario and Quebec, as well as Four overall Ontario Provincial Champions. Congratulations to Individual Provincial Champions Emily K. in level 6-A and Breanna R. in level 6-B and RG Group Provincial Champions Megan K. and Myranda B. in Novice Duo/Trio and Breanna R. and Emily K. in Senior Duo/Trio.

Our 26 InterClub individual and RG group gymnast and 30 AGG gymnast brought home a total of 54 medals (29 gold, 13 silver and 12 bronze) from competitions in Ontario.

The gymnast competed in meets at Kanata Cup (hosted by KRSG), Rythmik Quebec Invitational, 1st Ontario Provincial Qualifiers hosted by Ritmika-Jusco, 2nd Ontario Provincial Qualifiers hosted by Silhouettes of York, The Ontario Provincial Championships hosted by York Stars, Silhouettes of York InterClub Spring Classic, Kanata Showcase (hosted by KRSG), Rhythmfest and Red Ribbon (hosted by KRSG).

At the AGG Red Ribbon, the Rising Stars took Bronze overall in their Level 1 category, the Energy took Silver overall in their Level 2 category, the Spirit took Bronze overall in their Level 3 category and won the Special award for the Most Spirited team and the Mystique won the Silver with their free routine in their 1st Red Ribbon competition. While in the Provincials categories at Red Ribbon the Child team took Gold overall, the Pre-Novice team took Silver overall and the Junior team took Gold overall in their respective categories. Kanata RSG also had the most competitors entered in Red Ribbon as well as the youngest group.

In the recreational program 2008 spring session, Lina P. and Kirsti W. both completed the "I've got Rhythm" program and received their level 6 badges.


2006-2007 Season

Our 13 Provincial individual and RG group gymnast and 6 Provincial AGG gymnast brought home a total of 98 medals (43 gold, 30 silver and 25 bronze) from competitions in Ontario, as well as one overall Ontario Provincial Champion. Congratulations to Individual Provincial Champion Marie A. in level 2-A.

Our 10 InterClub individual and RG group gymnast and 29 AGG gymnast brought home a total of 29 medals (12 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze) from competitions in Ontario.

The gymnast competed in meets at Kanata Cup (hosted by KRSG), York Stars Interclub Invitational, 1st Ontario Provincial Qualifiers hosted by Ritmika, 2nd Ontario Provincial Qualifiers hosted by Kalev, The Ontario Provincial Championships, Olympium Spring Blossom Cup, Kanata Showcase (hosted by KRSG), Rhythmfest, Olympium InterClub Invitational and Red Ribbon. The Spirit participated in "Echoes of Winter", a fundraising event for CHEO (Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario).

At the AGG Red Ribbon, the Energy took Bronze overall in their Level 2 category and won the Special award for the Most Synchronized group and the Spirit took Silver overall in their Level 3 category.

In the recreational programs 2006 winter session, Nicole F. completed the "I've got Rhythm" program and received her level 6 badge. Following Nicole, in the 2007 spring session badge testing, Julie H-M. also completed the "I've got Rhythm" program and received her level 6 badge.

Fourteen members of the Kanata RSG Club performed at the World Gymnaestrada in Dornbirn, Austria in July.


2005-2006 Season

Our 13 provincial individual and 4 interclub individual team members brought home a total of 104 medals (55 gold, 32 silver and 17 bronze from competitions in Ontario, as well as one overall Ontario Provincial Champion. Congratulations to Individual Provincial Champion Jennifer C. in level 6-A.

The gymnast competed in meets at Kanata Cup (hosted by KRSG), Olympium Invitational, Durham Elite All Group Invitational, 1st Ontario Provincial Qualifiers hosted by Kalev, 2nd Ontario Provincial Qualifiers hosted by York Stars, Silhouettes of York Spring Classic, Rhythmfest, The Ontario Provincial Championships and York Stars Interclub Invitational. 5 gymnast participated in the Ontario Winter Games, bringing home a Gold and bronze medal. The 7 Senior and Junior Provincial Individual gymnast participated in "Echoes of Winter", a fundraising event for CHEO (Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario).

At the AGG Red Ribbon, the Energy took 5th overall in their age group, the Silhouettes took 6th overall in their age group and the Spirit took 7th overall in their age group.

In the 2005 winter session of the recreational program, the very first level 6 badge was presented to Sarah H. In addition to the badge Sarah received a Certificate of Achievement for successfully completing the "I've got Rhythm" recreational Badge program. Following Sarah, in the 2006 spring session badge testing, Julia P. also completed the "I've got Rhythm" program and received her level 6 badge.

Thirty-three Provincial and Interclub gymnast of the Kanata RSG Club performed together at the Canadian Gymnaestrada held in Ottawa on Canada Day weekend.

KRSG received the Bronze 2006 Club Hosting Recognition Award from Gymnastics Ontario, acknowledging the support the club has given to GO by host sanctioned events this past season.


2004-2005 Season

Our 7 Provincial Individual team members brought home a total of 79 medals (24 gold, 25 silver and 30 bronze) from competitions in Ontario, as well as two overall Ontario Provincial Champions. Congratulations to Individual Provincial Champion Breanna R. in level 5-B and RG Group Provincial Champions Breanna R. and Emily K. in Junior Duo/Trio.

The gymnast competed in meets at Kanata Cup (hosted by KRSG), Ritmika Invitational, Olympium Invitational, Eastern Ontario Provincial Qualifiers at Sport Seneca, York Stars Invitational, Rhythmfest and the Ontario Provincial Championships. The 7 Provincial Individual gymnast participated in "Echoes of Winter", a fundraising event for CHEO (Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario).

The Rising Stars took Silver overall in their age group, the Silhouettes took 7th overall in their age group, the Spirit took Silver overall in their age group, the Pyramids took Gold overall in their age group and the Fusion took Gold overall in their age group at the AGG Red Ribbon. The Pyramids also received the award of the Most Graceful Group and the Fusion also received the Maija Ceming Trophy for highest overall score.


2003-2004 Season

Our 7 Provincial Individual team members brought home a total of over 70 medals from competitions in Ontario.

The Rising Stars took Bronze overall in their age group, the Spirit took 4th overall in their age group, the Pyramids took Gold overall in their age group at Red Ribbon.


2002-2003 Season

The Pyramids took Gold overall in their age group at Red Ribbon, while the Rising Stars withdrew.

Twelve members of the Kanata RSG Club performed at the World Gymnaestrada in Lisbon Portugal in July.


2001-2002 Season

The Rising Stars took Gold overall in their age group and the Pyramids took Gold overall at Red Ribbon.

Thirteen members of the Kanata RSG Club performed at the Canadian Gymnaestrada held in Moncton, New Brunswick.


2000-2001 Season

Our provincial individual brought home several medals from competitions in Ontario, as well as one overall Ontario Provincial Champion. Congratulations to Individual Provincial Champion Amanda C.

The Pyramids took Gold overall in their age group at Red Ribbon.


1999-2000 season

Our provincial individual brought home several medals from competitions in Ontario, as well as one overall Ontario Provincial Champion. Congratulations to Individual Provincial Champion Kieva H.

The Rising Stars took Gold overall in their age group and the Pyramids took Silver overall at Red Ribbon.


1998-1999 Season

Our Provincial Individual team enjoyed the best season to date winning 176 medals (73 gold, 67 silver, and 36 bronze) from competitions in Ontario, as well as two overall Ontario Provincial Champions. Congratulations to Individual Provincial Champions Jessie P. and Kara C.

The Demonstration team took the bronze medal at the Red Ribbon meet held in Mississauga.


1997-1998 Season

Our Provincial Individual team members brought home a total of 149 medals (71 gold, 39 silver and 39 bronze) from competitions in Ontario and Quebec, as well as three overall Ontario Provincial Champions. Congratulations to Individual Provincial Champions Kristina M. and Melanie M. and RG Group Provincial Champions Alison H, Kieva H, Melanie M, Sabrina Y and Sarah P. in the Open Group Level.

The club participated in meets at FlipGym Invitational in Montreal, Kanata Cup (hosted by KRSG), Etobicoke Invitational, Provincial Winter Games in Peterborough, Provincial Qualifiers at Kalev, and Nortel RSG Provincial Championships hosted by KRSG in Kanata.

The Demo team participated in the Kanata Showcase (hosted by KRSG). In addition the club held both a Christmas and Spring Gymnaestrada, and Fall and Spring Gymathon. We held a Teachers strike camp, Spring Break camp for recreational and provincial gymnasts, and a summer training camp for advanced training gymnastics.

The Demonstration Team participated in the Canadian Gymnaestrada held in Ottawa.


1996-1997 Season

Our Provincial Individual team members brought home a total of 75 medals (22 gold, 32 silver and 21 bronze) from competitions in Ontario and Quebec, as well as two Ontario Provincial Champions. Congratulations to Individual Provincial Champion Melanie M. and RG Group Provincial Champions Alison H, Jessie P, Kelly F, Melanie M and Sarah P. in Novice 3 Group.
